What to Expect When Starting Counseling

We strive to make the onboarding process as smooth and straightforward as possible. When you schedule your first appointment, you will receive an email from Headway, our trusted third-party billing and insurance management platform. This email will invite you to create your Headway client portal, where you will complete a few important steps before our first session.

 

Setting Up Your Headway Client Portal

 

Through the client portal, you will be asked to:

 

·         Fill out initial assessments to help us better understand your needs.

·         Provide your insurance information (if applicable) and set up a preferred billing method.

·         Review and acknowledge key practice policies, including our privacy practices, consent forms, and informed consent documentation.

 

Practice Policies & Important Documents

 

In your onboarding package, you will also receive:

 

·         Our no-show and late cancellation policy, which will be included in the initial email for your review.

·         Practice policies and consent forms that outline the structure of therapy and confidentiality.

·         Clinical assessments to be completed before our first session, helping us tailor treatment to your needs.
